1) Pretilachlor:
Mode of action: Selectiveherbicide. It is taken up readily by the hypocotyls, mesocotyls andcoleoptiles, and, to a lesser extent, by the roots of germinating weeds.
Uses: Herbicideeffective against main annual grasses, broad-leaved weeds and sedges intransplanted and seeded rice, at 1-1.25 kg/ha.
2)Bensulfuron-methyl:
Mode of action: Selective systemic herbicide, absorbed by thefoliage and roots, with rapid translocation to the meristematic tissues.
Uses: Selective pre- and post-emergence control ofannual and perennial weeds and sedges in continuously flooded rice, at 30-100g/ha.
